Ryan Consulting Group is looking for a highly skilled PowerApp Developer who also has hands-on Power Platform Administration experience. This person will build and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, while assisting our current Power Platform Administrator with environment strategy, ALM (Dev ? Test ? Prod), governance, and platform operations. As the practice matures, this role may transition into lead administrator responsibilities.

Solution Design & Development (˜60-70%)

  • Design, build, and maintain model-driven and canvas apps using Dataverse and premium connectors.
  • Develop robust Power Automate flows (cloud and desktop where applicable), implement error handling, retry, and exception patterns.
  • Implement reusable components, custom pages, and modern controls; optimize performance and UX.
  • Integrate with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, and external APIs (via custom connectors).
  • Create relational data models, security roles, and business rules in Dataverse.
  • Write and maintain Power Fx, JavaScript (form scripting/PCF optional), and solution documentation.


ALM & Platform Operations (˜30-40%)

  • Lifecycle Management (ALM): Manage solution exports/imports, patching, and managed/unmanaged layers. Utilize source control (Git) and build pipelines for CI/CD processes.
  • Own or co-own ALM using Solutions (managed/unmanaged), environment variables, connection references, and pipelines.
  • Operate Power Platform Pipelines and/or Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions for automated deployments across Dev ? Test ? Prod with approvals and change control.
  • Help manage environments (naming standards, purpose, capacity), DLP policies, and tenant-wide settings in the Power Platform Admin Center.
  • Monitor and optimize Dataverse capacity, API usage, flow runs, and connector governance.
  • Assist with security & compliance (role-based access, least-privilege, auditing, retention, Entra ID groups).
  • Configure monitoring/telemetry (CoE Starter Kit, Admin analytics, Application Insights where applicable).
  • Contribute to governance: solution lifecycle, release notes, documentation, support processes, and incident response.
  • Guide and uplift makers/citizen developers; perform solution reviews for quality and compliance.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years building solutions on Power Apps (canvas & model-driven) and Power Automate.
  • Strong Dataverse experience (tables, relationships, business rules, security roles, ALM with Solutions).
  • Proven experience moving solutions across Dev/Test/Prod using Power Platform Pipelines or Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with environment strategy, DLP policies, and platform governance basics.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 integration (SharePoint/Teams/Outlook), Entra ID app permissions, and role-based access design.
  • Troubleshooting mindset; comfort with logs, run histories, and performance diagnostics.
  • Excellent documentation habits and stakeholder communication.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Power Platform CoE Starter Kit setup/operations experience.
  • Custom Connectors, PCF controls, TypeScript/React experience.
  • Power BI for lightweight reporting and admin analytics.
  • Power Pages exposure.
  • RPA with Power Automate Desktop.
  • APIs, webhooks, Azure services (Functions, Key Vault, Logic Apps), solution observability (App Insights).


Preferred Certifications

  • PL-400: Power Platform Developer (strongly preferred)
  • PL-600: Solution Architect (great plus)
  • PL-200, PL-500 (RPA), SC-900, AZ-900
