Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) - Air Dominance (AD) is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join our Technology Strategy Team in St Louis, Missouri. As a focal for Technology Strategy, you will work directly with teams that represent multiple skill areas, program management, business development, leadership, subject matter experts, and other engineering teams. With your leadership, these teams will identify and pursue opportunities to address technology and engineering needs to strengthen and/or enhance our product portfolio. The selected candidate will focus on driving Engineering and Technical Excellence through the Technology Planning and Enterprise Standard Gated processes.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Technology Planning
Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim/Final U.S. Top-Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.
Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

- Drive coordination with AD Leadership (Engineering, Program, and Business Development & Strategy) to identify Technology Requirements (TRs) and develop yearly Technology Plans
- Facilitate and/or support the targeted development of technology and/or capability roadmaps
- Maintain an integrated and prioritized set of Air Dominance Technology Requirements (TRs) within approved technology planning databases (IR&D Planner, Access, SPOT, SQL, PROMPT)
- Ensure maintained compliance of government requirements for all IR&D spend (Cost Compliance Reviews (CCRs), Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Reporting, etc)
- Champion and coordinate AD Technology Requirements (TRs) across Business Units and/or Ecosystem Partners (BDS, BGS, BTI / AvionX, HRL, etc)
Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP)
- Drive coordination with AD Leadership (Engineering, Program, and Functional) to assess program maturity and readiness compliance for Engineering
- Establish gate review strategies and schedules to support key program milestones
- Organize multi-disciplined engineering teams to conduct readiness assessments
- Organize and review key program and/or technical artifacts (as appropriate for gate level)
- Establish, validate, and coordinate final assessments with key stakeholders and leadership
- Identify and track key findings, program risks, and/or actions

- Effective written and verbal communication with demonstrated experience in presentation, speaking, report writing, procedures
- 9+ yrs experience working on teams and projects that involve cross-functional and/or cross-business domains with executive interface experience
- 9+ yrs experience leading or managing a team on an IR&D project or new product development
