Your key responsibilities
Our security professionals stay highly relevant by researching and discovering the newest security threats, attending and speaking at top security conferences, and sharing knowledge with key industry groups. The team frequently provides thought leadership and information exchanges through traditional and less conventional communication channels, including conference presentations, white papers, and blogs.
As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Manager, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating actionable threat intelligence to enhance cyber defense operations. You will integrate an intelligence-led perspective across security domains and collaborate with tactical security teams, including Red, Blue, and Purple Teams, as well as Risk Management, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response teams to provide intelligence-driven decision support before, during, and after cyber incidents. Your role will also involve engaging in threat actor profiling, infrastructure analysis, attribution efforts, forecasting, and proactive threat hunting to support the development of reactive and proactive cyber defenses.
Additionally, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports tailored for both technical and executive audiences. As a senior analyst, you will mentor junior analysts and contribute to the evolution of the cyber threat intelligence team by enhancing analytic tradecraft, methodology development, and operational efficiency. You will also engage with industry forums, conferences, and professional development opportunities to maintain a cutting-edge understanding of emerging threats and intelligence methodologies.

Skills and attributes for success
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis leveraging frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, the Intelligence Cycle, and the Pyramid of Pain to inform decision-making.
- Perform threat attribution, infrastructure analysis, and behavioral profiling of cyber threat actors, including Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups, cybercriminals, and hacktivist organizations.
- Collaborate with Blue, Purple, and Risk Management Teams to enhance detection engineering, adversary emulation, and intelligence-driven security operations.
- Develop and maintain Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs) to aggregate, normalize, and operationalize intelligence for cyber defense teams.
- Analyze and operationalize Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and emerging vulnerabilities to enhance enterprise security.
- Work closely with Vulnerability Management teams to identify, assess, and prioritize threats based on real-world intelligence to improve remediation strategies.
- Provide real-time intelligence support during cybersecurity incidents, offering contextual threat enrichment, adversary TTP analysis, and attack surface recommendations.
- Engage in malware and infrastructure analysis, leveraging open and closed-source tools to assess cyber threats.
- Conduct Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations to monitor and track emerging threats, actors, and geopolitical influences impacting cyber risk.
- Assist in security control validation and security architecture assessments by providing intelligence-driven insights to harden defensive capabilities.
- Develop and deliver high-quality intelligence reports, strategic briefings, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Mentor junior analysts in CTI methodologies, intelligence production, and analytic rigor to support the continuous improvement of the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, and a minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience
- Any one or more of the following certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- SANS GIAC certifications, such as:
- GSE (GIAC Security Expert)
- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI)
- GDAT (GIAC Defending Advanced Threats)
- GDSA (GIAC Defensible Security Architecture)
- GMON (GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification)
- Demonstrated experience with common intelligence standards such as STIX/TAXII, DHS TLP, ICD203 & ICD206.
- Strong ability to research, validate, and analyze threat data from open and closed-source intelligence feeds.
- Expertise in MITRE ATT&CK, intelligence tradecraft, structured analytic techniques, and cyber threat modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), SIEM, SOAR, and network forensic tools.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for intelligence enrichment and analysis.
- Ability to translate technical intelligence into business risk narratives for executive audiences.
- Experience in integrating intelligence into Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, and Risk Management frameworks.
- Must have and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for a polygraph.
- Must be willing to work on-site 3 days a week as needed by the client in the greater Washington, DC area
Ideally, you'll also have
- Prior consulting experience.
- Experience with technical and strategic intelligence fusion.
- Strong understanding of cybercriminal underground ecosystems and cyber espionage threats.
- Familiarity with cloud security, monitoring, and forensics.
- Experience with adversary emulation, attack surface management, and deception technologies.
- Background in malware analysis and reverse engineering.
- Law Enforcement, defense, or critical infrastructure threat intelligence experience.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $144,900 to $265,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $173,900 to $302,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
