Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Developer with deep SAP S/4HANA back-end integration experience to design, build, and support enterprise-scale integrations in complex environments. This role requires U.S. Citizenship and is well suited for candidates with experience delivering solutions for Federal or Public Sector clients, where security, compliance, and reliability are critical. You will play a key role in designing secure, scalable, and supportable integrations using SAP Integration Suite, collaborating closely with functional and technical stakeholders across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement enterprise integrations using SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and Open Connectors as needed.
  • Build secure, reliable interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external systems (cloud and on-prem), supporting API-led, message-based, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Develop and maintain iFlows, including mappings, adapters, exception handling, retries, and monitoring/alerting.
  • Implement and manage SAP BTP connectivity patterns, including Cloud Connector, destinations, certificates, OAuth/SAML, and principal propagation (where applicable).
  • Develop and consume SAP S/4HANA interfaces using OData, SOAP, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, and support SAP Gateway services.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate requirements into integration designs, interface specifications, and test plans.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning across integration runtimes.
  • Support CI/CD and transport processes for integration artifacts, including versioning, promotions, and approvals, aligned with program governance and controls.
  • Produce and maintain documentation such as interface catalogs, runbooks, operational procedures, and security artifacts.

Education and Experience:
  • 5-8+ years of SAP integration development experience (or equivalent depth), including significant hands-on work with SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.

Required Skills:
  • Strong SAP S/4HANA back-end integration experience, including APIs, IDocs, RFCs, and BAPIs, with understanding of common S/4 integration patterns
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Message formats: JSON, XML, XSD/WSDL, flat files
  • Groovy scripting within iFlows (Java experience a plus)
  • Graphical and message mapping, value mapping, content modifiers
  • Integration security: OAuth2, mTLS/certificates, PGP (as applicable), and key management fundamentals
  • Experience with integration monitoring and operations, including MPLs, tracing, error handling, alerting, and SLAs
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical workstreams, and mentor junior developers

Desired Skills:
  • Integration architecture and design documents, interface specifications, and iFlow packages
  • API proxies and policies (API Management) and related security configurations
  • Test artifacts, including unit and integration test evidence, deployment and rollback plans
  • Operational runbooks, dashboards, and knowledge-transfer materials

Security Clearance
  • Eligible to obtain a security clearance.
