- The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and verbal instruction, following all post orders and communication protocols.
- Interact professionally with the public and government personnel, providing escorts as required.
- Perform access control and traffic control duties, as well as walking and motorized armed security patrols in accordance with post requirements.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and government regulations related to the protection and security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment.
- Conduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility checks, including package and parcel inspections, to maintain the integrity of security operations.
- Work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays, to meet mission and operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support security operations and mission requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.
- Certified in use of Batons.
- Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
- Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
- Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer.
- 5 mile run in 17:30 minutes
- 19 push-ups in 2 minutes
- MMPI test.
