The Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate, part of the National Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support the Maru Program. As the DPM, you will work closely with the Program Manager (PM) to lead program execution, manage performance metrics, and ensure program objectives are met with precision and excellence. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in subcontract management and a strategic mindset to foster cross-functional collaboration and operational efficiency.

Position may be performed in the following locations below.  Please note Gaithersburg, MD is the program’s primary work location.

Clearance Level Required:
Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI, as well as a Polygraph.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the PM in leading all aspects of contract execution and task order performance, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate and oversee operations across multiple concurrent task orders, managing geographically dispersed teams to ensure seamless execution, consistent communication, and alignment with program objectives and customer expectations.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including performance oversight, cost control, and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate internally with Chinook program management, contracts, subcontracts, finance, and technical teams.
  • Act as a key liaison with customer government leadership, contract officers (CO/COR), task order managers, and mission stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce aligned with mission and program goals.
  • Function as a people manager, with responsibility for performance management, professional development, mentorship, and career path development.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, biannual performance check-ins, and professional development planning with direct reports, proactively address employee relations and morale.
  • Oversee and coordinate task order performance, staffing levels, and resource allocation in collaboration with Task Order Managers, technical leads, and program management.
  • Drive program performance metrics, ensure quality assurance, and support the development of monthly reports, deliverables, and briefings.
  • Lead risk and issue management processes, identifying mitigation strategies and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to task leads and functional managers; foster a high-performing, mission-focused team culture.
  • Support program growth by identifying opportunities, shaping follow-on work, and contributing to proposal development and strategy.


Basic Qualifications:
  • US citizenship is required per contract.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Overall, 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5+ years in program or task leadership role on IC/DoD contracts.
  • Proven track record of supporting or managing complex technical programs, preferably for our customer or within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Prior experience managing subcontractors in a federal contracting environment.
  • Experience working with Cost, Schedule, and Performance metrics in a large program.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering, acquisition, and integration processes.
  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced mission environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with program management tools and reporting systems (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Prior experience managing large and small subcontracts, as a Prime.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting customer enterprise engineering initiatives.
  • Understanding of the customer’s enterprise architecture, acquisition framework, and GEOINT mission requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or other iterative development and management methodologies.
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed organization and work across multiple technical domains and stakeholder groups.

Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
