Sayres is seeking a BMD Senior Program Analyst with active Secret security clearance, verifiable in DISS.

Position is located in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities

The Senior Program Analyst will support Afloat Training Group Pacific and will be part of a team that conducts Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) training, assessment, and certification of ships in the Pacific Fleet. This position requires approximately 25% of time on travel, to include travel to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Yokosuka, Japan. The responsibilities assigned to this position include but are not limited to:
  • Providing technical training support on BMD capabilities and limitations.
  • Providing feedback on ATGPAC BMD Basic Phase Training Plans.
  • Producing informational briefs to ensure ATGPAC is informed of BMD current and future training issues.
  • Providing feedback on BMD training readiness issues, training deficiency trends, and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Developing BMD training improvement initiatives and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Reviewing BMD Standard Operating Procedures and recommending changes based on requirements.
  • Establishing and updating BMD training standards.
  • Providing technical advice and quality assurance for training execution, to include analysis of mission area training, recommendations for SOP deviations, and review of individual ship Basic Phase Training plans.
  • Developing lesson topic guides containing BMD lessons learned and best practices for dissemination to training teams and ships in training.
  • Consolidating and updating BMD training materials annually for ATGPAC BMD subject matter experts.
  • Providing analysis of BMD training to assess effectiveness.
  • Performing formal BMD shipboard training and assessment on BMD tactics and techniques and operations to shipboard Tactical Action Officers and BMD watch standers.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least seven (7) years of operational experience on a DDG.
  • TIC / TRASUP qualified.
  • Possess Secret Security clearance verifiable in JPAS.
  • Operations Specialist or Firecontrolman experience preferred.
  • Experience as a BMD AEGIS Trainer/Assessor, Training Supervisor (TRASUP), Tactical Information Coordinator (TIC), Interactive Broadcast Service (IBS) Producer, or Common Interactive Broadcast (CIB) Producer.
