Electrical & Avionics Technician

Abilty to Obtain a Secret Clearance
Performs soldering, wire harness fabrication, avionics assembly, and electrical system installation in support of aerospace hardware and test articles in regulated manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering on electronic and avionics assemblies
- Fabricate, assemble, route, install, and terminate wire harnesses and electrical wiring systems
- Install and troubleshoot electrical circuits and avionics components
- Prepare and support test articles, fixtures, instrumentation, and data collection devices
- Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
- Work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to assemble complex systems
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of electrical, avionics, or wire harness assembly experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience with soldering electronic components and avionics products
- Experience installing, routing, terminating, and troubleshooting electrical wiring and harness systems
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a NASA program
- Experience in a clean room manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing experience supporting human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware programs
- Experience inspecting, fabricating, repairing, and modifying electrical harnesses and associated components
