A Day in the Life – What you’ll do
Design and develop scalable back-end services using TypeScript and Node.js to power secure, mission-critical web applications
Architect and implement GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and integrations to enable efficient and flexible data exchange
Develop and maintain REST APIs and server-side components supporting high-availability, performance-driven environments
Collaborate in Agile sprints with engineers and stakeholders to deliver secure, well-tested features from concept through deployment
Required Qualifications
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Bachelor degree with 3-5 years of professional software development experience
Proven experience in back-end development using TypeScript and Node.js
Strong understanding of GraphQL, including schema design, resolver development, and integrations
Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and applying server-side development principles
Familiarity with modern web application architecture, including client-side vs. server-side processing and deployment pipelines
Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Proficiency with Git for version control
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Experience operating within Agile development environments
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with security best practices for server-side applications, including authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT
Experience implementing caching strategies using tools such as Redis or Memcached
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue
Knowledge of testing frameworks and experience writing unit and integration tests for back-end services
