Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded object-oriented software using C/C++ on Linux and multi-core processors.
- Integrate software, firmware, and hardware, ensuring robust, real-time system performance.
- Develop and maintain networking features, focusing on TCP/IP and Data Distribution Services (DDS).
- Write Python scripts and tools to automate and streamline development workflows.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, architecture, coding, integration, and verification.
- Collaborate within Agile teams, leveraging tools like GitLab, Docker, and Bitbucket for version control and CI/CD.
- Drive continuous improvements in code quality, process efficiency, and security.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of real-time C/C++ embedded software development on Linux and multi-core processors
- 5+ years of hands-on software/firmware/hardware integration experience
- 3+ years of experience with TCP/IP communication protocol and Data Distribution Services
- 3+ years of Python development
- 3+ years of full software lifecycle development including requirements and architecture
- 3+ years of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) using GitLab, Docker, Bitbucket
- Active Secret Clearance (required at time of application)
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of Yocto OS
- Experience with Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ SoC
- Familiarity with RTI DDS middleware
- Containerized development and deployment experience
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools and processes (CI/CD, automated testing)
- Previous experience as software lead or task lead
