Northrop Grumman's Mission System sector is seeking a Programs Director to support the Advanced Land Sensors operating unit as the Development Programs Director. The Director will be responsible for strategy development, business capture, program management and profit/loss objectives for a diverse portfolio of programs and captures. The individual will be responsible for leading a team of program and capture managers and matrixed staff in effective operations and for creating a cohesive team across the entire operating unit. The Director should develop a clearly-defined vision and objectives for the team.
Program Directors are responsible for coordination and management of all phases of execution, from inception (capture leadership and proposal development) through completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Primary Level Salary Range: $214,100.00 - $321,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Directing and leading a multi-disciplinary team in support of program requirements
- Executing on strategic planning and cost / schedule focused delivery
- Developing and delivering presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
- Cultivating customer relationships/intimacy
- Executing programs of various contract types (FFP, CPFF)
- Developing capture strategies and plans
- Creating program Statements of Work
- Negotiating and establishing schedule milestones, payment, and other key contract terms and conditions
- Participating as an OU leader in key recurring operations, including: program management reviews, capture reviews, staff meetings, etc.
- Adhering to all internal processes for Program Management
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Math (or related discipline) with 12 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in equivalent discipline and 10 years of relevant experience
- Program management (profit & loss) experience on DoW efforts
- Competence in budget and program acquisition processes
- Experience in the technical development and qualification of military sensors
- Strong cost, schedule, technical, management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to align Northrop Grumman capabilities with customer mission objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation skills, organizational and time management skills, and a strong sales/marketing presence
- Experience establishing a capabilities roadmap to brief the customer base for requirements generation
- Active DoW Secret security clearance with ability to be cleared for restricted programs; OR DoE equivalent with ability to be cleared for restricted programs
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience in the ground radar marketplace
- Program Management experience with multiple complex advanced development programs
- Demonstrated experience managing a program through the complete lifecycle
- Active DoW Top Secret Clearance; OR DoE equivalent
- Active restricted program clearance
- Experience developing, integrating, and fielding advanced radar modes and/or system security technology
