Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The Manager of Programs will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to the execute all aspects of the Product build inclusive of fabrication and assembly. Inclusive is leading initiatives related to process optimization, cost reduction, quality control, and the introduction of new manufacturing technologies to achieve our execution commitments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, a proven track record of successful leadership, and a deep understanding and experience with high-rate production of aircraft fabrication and assembly. This is a highly visible role that requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, which will include the following responsibilities:

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- You will be responsible for all aspects of product, build and program execution on this restricted program to include having responsibility for the cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Responsibilities may also include contract negotiations, change management, preparing proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions for this contract.
- You will act as the primary internal contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- You will also interface with the program customer on a regular basis. Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- You will direct the work of employees assigned to the program in the areas of technical, manufacturing, and administrative across a multitude of disciplines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of aerospace, military, or other relevant industry experience OR a Master's Degree with 8 years of aerospace, military, or other relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
- Must be willing to work all shifts, including 2nd shift and 3/10's shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
- 5 or more years of leadership experience in a Manufacturing team environment - Active Special Program Access (SAP)
- Program management experience in a defense or production industry - Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Global Supply Chain, or Project Management
- Financial experience in EVMS or similar cost and schedule management systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with AS9100 quality management system.
- STEM degree
