Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) demonstrating experience in QA methods, principles, aerospace industry standards, Material Acceptance, First Article, and MRB programs 2) interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work orders 3) conducting QA studies, audits, and developing corrective actions 4) planning, organizing, scheduling, and team building; supervising personnel and supporting EEO principles 5) classifying quality characteristics, analyzing complex issues and interpreting statistical quality data

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.

- You will provide managerial direction concerning the development, implementation of, and maintenance of the Depot's Industrial Quality program.
- You will work in support of the variety of programs described within the Naval Aviation Maintenance and the International Organization for Standardization {JSO) Quality Management System (QMS).
- You will administer leave, plan, direct, and coordinate the overall workload of the division which primarily encompasses institution and maintenance of all applicable quality program requirements in areas of assigned responsibility.
- You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the relative difficulty and requirements of the assignments and the relative capabilities of assigned employees.
- You will provide technical advice and assistance as necessary to assigned quality personnel in dealing with respective Integrated Product Teams, Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Service Competencies.
- You will plan work, establish priorities and ensure timely performance of assigned tasks by division personnel, reviewing work of subordinates and accepting amends, or rejecting work as applicable.
- You will identify developmental and functional training needs of employees and coordinate scheduling of training; assisting subordinates in preparing Individual Development Plans.
- You will provide technical analysis and assist in reviews of quality programs to revise procedures as needed; recommending changes and/or assisting in the development of directives concerning quality functions.
- You will maintain an active liaison with supervisors and higher authorities to facilitate timely receipt and dissemination of information vital to the accomplishment of priority quality investigations relating to flight safety and personnel hazards.
