Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Quality Assurance Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Leading development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) policies and inspection processes across the production areas and programs; (2) Recommending process changes and quality control strategies that reduce systemic defects and mitigate risk, while acting as the primary Action Point for customer complaints in product quality deficiency reports (PQDR/AIDR); (3) Conducting inspections and audits of materials, products, processes, and services for conformance to specifications and requirements; (4) Analyzing data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality or verification program; and (5) Coordinating directly with customers, external suppliers, and higher authorities on product quality issues, investigation outcomes, and policy interpretations.

- You will serve as the site's senior quality representative during cross-functional root cause analyses, corrective action planning, and high-visibility quality investigations.
- You will lead site quality audits and internal compliance assessments, including preparation for AS9110 and if/when required, 3rd party certifications.
- You will develop and deliver advanced quality training for Quality Control Inspectors (QCIs), Production Artisans, and Program Managers at the assigned site.
- You will serve as mentor and technical advisor to junior QCI personnel and provide technical review and certification of quality investigations.
- You will coordinate directly with customers, external suppliers, and higher authorities on product quality issues, investigation outcomes, and policy interpretations
