MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is hiring a Software Tester to support the Retail Technology Program within the Engineering organization at the United States Postal Service (USPS). This role supports the Enterprise Biometric Identity Service (EBIS) - the platform that powers digital fingerprinting and identity services at retail post office locations nationwide.
If you bring hands-on experience in Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT), requirements analysis, SDLC documentation, and defect tracking, this is an opportunity to support a high-visibility federal technology program with national impact.
What You'll Do
✔ Write and execute Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) scripts
✔ Perform software testing in a controlled CAT environment
✔ Analyze, document, and refine functional and system requirements
✔ Develop test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases
✔ Reproduce, debug, and document reported system issues
✔ Maintain requirements traceability matrices and SDLC artifacts
✔ Track and resolve defects using bug tracking tools
✔ Provide helpdesk backup support via the phone to diagnose issues to field offices experiencing EBIS device issues
✔ Collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and end users

What You Bring
- Strong experience in software testing, system validation, and QA processes
- Proven ability to analyze and document functional/system requirements
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test documentation
- Hands-on debugging and defect lifecycle management experience
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and quality assurance standards
- Experience with requirements, traceability and documentation control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with technical writing and stakeholder collaboration
- Familiarity with Section 508-compliant UI design (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred in a related field)
- 5+ years of relevant software testing / QA experience
