BTS is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing the policy, strategy and best practices for the Coast Guards Cloud Architecture.

Location: 90% Remote with some travel to San Diego, CA, Key West, FL and WV
Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding, interpreting and implementing Cloud governance and architecture policies to plan, develop and implement the strategy and best practices for enhancing the Coast Guard's Cloud Architecture.
- Lead the implementation of the Cloud program to include but not limited to DevSecOps planning, Zero Trust overlays, ECRA tailoring for the US Coast Guard.
- Communicate and enforce cloud policies and strategy across the organization, providing necessary training and guidance.
- Collaborate with cloud software engineers, dev ops engineers and the training lead to ensure compliance
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the cloud execution plan, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Skills
- Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in technical project planning, building project strategies, government and IT policy compliance and establishing best practices to programs and projects.
- 10 years of experience with cloud governance, cloud architecture implementation, or cloud management roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence organizational change.
- Proficient in analytical problem-solving to resolve data issues effectively.
- Ability to present data insights to C-level stakeholders.
