Kforce seeks a seasoned Senior Test Engineer to lead backend software testing and automation for transformative government initiatives. You’ll architect, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and related tools in Java, .NET, and C# environments, leveraging AWS for scalable solutions. Your work will directly support IT modernization, national security, and law enforcement missions.
Responsibilities:
• Design and execute automated test strategies for high-performance, large-scale systems
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement advanced test tools and methodologies
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)
• Conduct backend, API, and database testing, including complex SQL queries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Analyze test results, document defects, and provide root-cause analysis with remediation guidance
• Review government test plans and ensure compliance with technical standards
• Support DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) using Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible
• Prepare and deliver detailed test reports and progress updates
Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in backend software testing and automation
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Hands-on expertise with Selenium, Cucumber, and related automation tools
• Strong AWS and CI/CD pipeline experience
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Must meet eligibility for access to classified information
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
