JOB DESCRIPTION:
GridIron IT is seeking Software Development Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As a Software Development Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities and gain agile development experience in support of an Enterprise cybersecurity program. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This is a great opportunity for someone who also would like to get a security clearance as they will be processed for a TS/SCI level security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using Java, JavaScript, and/or Python.
• Create software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
• Develop and deploy prototypes and solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices
• Apply DevOps tools like Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins to support automated deployment and containerization
• Directly support deployment of build artifacts across a multitude of customer environments
• Leverage tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab to track development activities, control source code, and author documentation
• Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
• Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
• Mentor / assist junior members of the team
• Provide input/suggestions on technical approach to the Agile Team Leads

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidate must have BS degree with 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with coding in Java, JavaScript (Reacts, Redux, Node JS or similar), Python, and/or Bash desired
• Experience in the following areas, and a desire to learn the others:
o Linux OS scripting
o Database setup and integration, both relational and NoSQL (e.g., Oracle RDBMS, MySQL, CouchDB)
o Cloud infrastructure platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
o DevOps automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
o Source control and Agile development tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
o Analytics and search engines (Elasticsearch, Splunk, Apache Solr)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience as a member of an agile software development team
• Knowledge of software design patterns
• Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
• Local to DC/Maryland/Virginia
• Ability to obtain security clearance
• Must be US CITIZENS to be considered for the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with one or more of the following identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) concepts/standards:
o LDAP or MS Active Directory
o PKI and TLS/SSL
o OAuth 2.0
o OpenID Connect (OIDC)
o SAML
o SCIM
o Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
• Experience in identity management and governance, to include single sign-on, identity federation, or enterprise directory architecture and design
• Experience with container services and orchestration
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate container builds and deployments


Clearance Requirements*
Requires an active Top Secret security clearance upon hire and must meet SCI eligibility. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within the customer’s timeline after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary Range: $115,000-$160,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
