The Cloud Computing Specialist will serve as the senior cloud security and RMF/C&A authority supporting DLA cybersecurity assessments, driving compliant security engineering decisions for cloud environments, mapping control implementations to NIST RMF, and applying FedRAMP-aligned assessment rigor.
Location
OFF-SITE (with potential Government-authorized alternate worksite/remote access during COOP conditions).
Clearance
Secret clearance; IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive / Tier 3 (T3) required.

Essential Role and Responsibilities
- Lead RMF/C&A-aligned security engineering for cloud-hosted systems, aligning implementations to NIST RMF (SP 800-37/800-53 current versions) and DOD cybersecurity expectations.
- Identify, manage, and resolve cloud security risk and implement "best practices" across deployment/service models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS and derivatives).
- Perform/advise on control assessments and C&A reviews for large, complex information systems; produce evidence-quality analysis supporting assessment outputs.
- Apply FedRAMP assessment methodology across domains such as architecture/design, data security, platform/infrastructure security, app security, operations, and legal/compliance.
- Advise on security implications for modern/dynamic compute (hybrid, edge, cloud-native microservices) and IoT/standard protocols where applicable.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years relevant C&A experience.
- Strong RMF and NIST C&A background
- DOD cybersecurity experience.
Required Certifications
- Current Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
Education
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Master's in fields above preferred.
