Job Qualifications
Oversees strategic planning and execution of facility operations to maximize space, resources, and personnel efficiency. Manages a team of Project and Occupancy Planners, serving as the primary liaison among facilities, maintenance, safety, and external contractors to ensure facility activities align with organizational goals, stakeholder needs, and compliance standards.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement facility planning strategies to support operational goals and growth.
- Plan and Lead facility projects (renovations, expansions, equipment installations, reconfigurations) from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, maintenance, real estate, finance, safety, security, IT) to assess needs and prioritize projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee projects related to airport operations, warehousing, secure spaces, and labs/manufacturing areas.
- Monitor occupancy and space utilization; recommend adjustments for efficiency.
- Manage off-site facility planning, construction, occupancy, and leasing.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as primary contact for construction, vendors, architects, and service providers.
- Prepare and present facility plans, budgets, reports, and proposals to senior management.
- Lead and mentor the facility planning, occupancy, and coordination teams.
- Maintain facility planning documentation, policies, and procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, facilities management or a related discipline and thirteen or more years of progressive professional experience in facilities management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Strong project management, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and building regulations.
- Proficiency with facility management software, ProCore, MS Project and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or defense preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance required.
