The Logistics Supervisor oversees a team of Logistics Specialists across one or more controlled warehouse facilities, driving efficiency in supply chain management, inventory control, and distribution. The Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, including personnel management, and liaises daily with a diverse range stakeholders including Government personnel, Amentum employees, and external vendors, to coordinate and execute essential logistical duties in support of operations.

This role drives efficiency in supply chain, inventory control, and distribution while utilizing the ManageEngine Help Desk system to oversee ticketing workflows and ensure timely service delivery. Working in a dynamic and at times physically demanding environment, the Logistics Supervisor must adapt to varying priorities, environmental conditions (such as heat, cold, and dust), and stakeholder expectations. The role contributes to the overall reliability and responsiveness of the logistics function, upholding safety, integrity, and professional service delivery in line with organizational values and mission

Applicants must be an USA citizen who have a TS/SCI or Australian Citizen who can obtain the appropriate level of security clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse including personal management .
  • Lead logistics element analyses and studies, creating sparing plans, shipping, and receiving procedures, work breakdown structures and warehouse layouts.
  • Develop technical papers, specifications, procedures, and ad-hoc reports. Report observed discrepancies in stock levels, transactions, and serial numbers
  • Manage a diverse group of personnel assigning and coordinating daily tasks of the general warehouse team, including all payroll responsibilities, personnel development and performance management
  • Manage the Packaging, palletising and consignment of inventory for dispatch, utilizing various modes of transport (road, air etc.)
  • Prepare documentation for consignment and receipt of goods via Air Mobility Command (AMC) flights.
  • Perform a range of inventory related transactions within CMMS SAP
  • Provide a customer facing service desk for processing and hand over of all material orders
  • Report observed discrepancies in stock levels, transactions and serial numbers
  • Conduct excess and/or unserviceable goods reporting and control
  • Author, manage, maintain, and update the applicable polices, support documents and work instructions for those activities asscociated with the warehousing requirements.
  • Manage the programs of stock analysis and inventory review as required, including the determination of reorder levels
  • Ensure that all personnel correctly handle and store hazardous materials and provide timely notification of any observed incidents relating to hazardous materials
  • Manage completion of warehouse inventory stock takes, documenting and certifying results and reconciling discrepancies
  • Foster a strong culture around safety including the reporting of hazards and incidents, pe-starts and safe operating procedures are followed
  • Any other reasonable duties as required


Qualifications:

Minimum Essential:
  • Certificate IV or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Administrative skills

Desirable:
  • Materials handling training
  • Inventory Analysis - Demand planning and revision of stock levels


Tickets and Licenses

Minimum Essential
  • Drivers License

Desirable
  • Forklift Licence
  • HC truck licence or the ability to obtain if required
  • Dangerous goods person licence

Experience and Skills:
  • 3-5 years in a warehouse or transport environment, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
  • Working with minimal supervision and experience working as part of a dedicated team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders
  • Experience with MS Officer operating system.


WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 25kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a NV-1/SECRET Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) and may be required to obtain a Top Secret (TSPV) Department of Defence (Australian) or have a TS/SSCI (U.S) clearance.

EHS REQUIREMENT

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the Handbook, each person is responsible for:
  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager
  • Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the Handbook during the performance of their work
  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to "STOP WORK" if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment
