Primary Function:
Reporting to the EVP of Strategy & Growth, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for relationship management and business development with the U.S. Army across multiple mission domains, including manufacturing, sustainment, logistics, technology-enabled mission support, engineering, aviation, and IT services. The successful candidate brings a strong Army network and the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable opportunities aligned with Yulista's business units. This role focuses on expanding Yulista's Army portfolio, retaining expiring programs, penetrating new markets, and winning new business aligned with Army priorities.

Responsibilities:

US Army Account Leadership
  • Act as a senior company representative to the U.S. Army across PM offices, PEOs, Army commands, and contracting activities.
  • Own day-to-day Army account management, including relationship development, account planning, and opportunity shaping.
  • Develop and execute Army-focused call plans aligned to customer priorities and acquisition timelines.


US Army Pipeline & Opportunity Development
  • Identify, qualify, and shape new Army opportunities across manufacturing, sustainment, logistics, engineering, aviation, IT, and mission support services.
  • Identify and develop on-contract growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a disciplined Army pipeline aligned to corporate growth objectives and win probability.
  • Track Army budget signals, acquisition strategies, and program changes to inform pursuit decisions.


Teaming & Partner Strategy
  • Build and manage teaming relationships with primes, subcontractors, OEMs, and small business partners focused on Army pursuits.
  • Assess prime vs. subcontract roles based on Army customer preference, contract structure, and execution risk.
  • Support JV, mentor-protégé, and small business strategies aligned to Army acquisition goals.


Cross-Business Unit Integration
  • Translate Army requirements into opportunities aligned with Yulista business units and capabilities.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to present integrated solutions to Army customers.
  • Ensure smooth transition of awarded Army work to operations to support successful execution and customer satisfaction.


Reporting & Leadership Engagement
  • Provide regular Army pipeline, forecasts, and risk updates to senior leadership.
  • Support leadership briefings related to Army growth strategy and key pursuits.
  • Maintain accurate Army account and opportunity data in Salesforce or other CRM tools.


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 20+ years Army Experience (Aviation/Aerospace)
  • Experience in Business Development, Capture, and Proposals desired
  • Knowledge of Army Program Offices located at Redstone Arsenal
  • UH-60M aircraft and aviation maintenance experience preferred.
