Requirements
The Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle. This role identifies, screens, and presents qualified candidates for specialized Department of Defense (DoD) positions while collaborating closely with the Human Resources Manager to attract a diverse and highly skilled talent pool. The position may work directly with hiring managers to determine accurate technical requirements and plays a key role in building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline.

Minimum Qualifications
General Work Experience
- 4 years of office experience
Specific Work Experience
- 4 years of recruiting experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent Human Resources experience preferred
Training & Certifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR desired
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- In-depth understanding of recruiting methods and best practices
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Technology savvy with experience using online recruiting platforms and social media, especially for sourcing candidates with security clearances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Duties & Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Identify recruitment needs aligned with company strategy
- Ensure appropriate recruiting strategies for contract vacancies
- Coordinate recruiting activities with Hiring Managers
- Post approved requisitions internally and externally
- Source active and passive candidates through social media, networking, career events, community partnerships, and military outreach
- Review, screen, and track applications
- Move qualified candidates through the ATS and hiring stages
- Oversee development of interview questions and selection materials
- Consult with Human Resources Manager on hiring decisions
- Conduct onboarding activities ensuring all new hire requirements are completed
- Prepare and distribute recruiting reports to leadership
- Participate in job fairs and recruiting events
- Ensure EEO/AAP compliance; audit processes and recommend improvements
Hiring & Onboarding
- Prepare all necessary documentation for accurate processing
- Coordinate position classification and compensation with Hiring Manager
- Support negotiation efforts between applicants and hiring managers
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation
- Perform other duties as assigned
