About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Release Train Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team. The candidate will fulfill the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) on an Agile Release Train as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methodology.
This role is based out of Windsor Mill, MD. Depending on selected candidate's location, the role can be worked as fully remote, hybrid or onsite.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Release Train Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team. The candidate will fulfill the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) on an Agile Release Train as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methodology.
This role is based out of Windsor Mill, MD. Depending on selected candidate's location, the role can be worked as fully remote, hybrid or onsite.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall project management experience is highly desired including SAFe certifications.
- You will organize teams of teams around a common cadence and ensure execution of the program increment and sprint goals, while maintaining overall process governance.
- Facilitate overall PI Planning event logistics and agenda, as well as overall Agile Release Train rhythms.
- Coordinate with Scrum Masters of individual teams on team rhythms to ensure effective communication and coordination is taking place, both within the Agile Release Train and externally to other Release Train Engineers or Leadership
- Provide overall coaching to the Agile Release Train to continuously improve agile processes and promote better value
- Effectively motivate the overall team to achieve PI objectives as well as to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 14 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
- Minimum of 10 years of in-depth experience in SDLC, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise level solutions.
- Experience with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO and VSAM is a plus.
- Must have strong analytical abilities, negotiation/presentation skills, and organizational/planning abilities.
- Must have experience working in an Agile environment using Jira, Confluence, Slack
- US citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust
- Ability to drive teams to meet consensus and have vivid passion for product delivery.
- Strong project management and team management skills.
- Drive for results - maintains constant awareness of projects and clients; keeps product owners focused on short- and long-term milestones.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers yet represent accurately the perspective of Technology.
- Strong leadership, management skills, collaboration and decision-making skills
- Ability to work productively with all levels in a large organization.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or other Scaled Agile certifications a plus.
