- Performing basic installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and server environments supporting DoD applications
- Performing routine patching, user‑account management, and entry‑level troubleshooting

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in IT, cybersecurity, data science, IS, or computer science (ABET/CAE) Alternative: Associate and four years experience or six years experience
- Active DoD Top Secret (or higher)
- Less than three years in basic system‑admin duties (CSWF Basic)
- Certifications: One of: A+, Network+, CND, Security+, GSEC (or any equivalent DoD baseline)
Desired Skills
- Proficiency with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and basic Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V) and basic VM provisioning
- Ability to apply security patches, manage antivirus/endpoint protection, and perform routine backups
- Familiarity with basic network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
- Strong documentation skills for change‑control and incident reports

Travel Requirements
- Domestic travel: Up to 10 % of the year (≈ 2 weeks)
- International travel: < 5 % of the year, only when required for overseas coordination and clearance approval
