Program Overview

Engineering, integration, and cybersecurity support to design, build, and test enhanced services for the Department of Navy's IT architecture. Offers a wide range of roles, from cybersecurity experts to engineers specializing in systems, networks, software, and data center services.

About The Role

Peraton is seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD:

  • Build and maintain a program-level IMS which includes major milestones and deliverables with projected start dates, due dates, schedule status, assigned resources, priorities of work and alignment to Contractor's Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS)
  • Coordinate and maintain an integrated project and activity schedule
  • Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Lead cross functional team members in the definition of project tasks, establish task durations, define relationships, impose constraints, collect weekly status
  • Propose processes that will aid Integrated Scheduling and understand the impacts of any changes to program delivery
  • Develop process, procedures, and strategy for implementing scheduling best practices
  • Track the critical path in program activities, associated risks, and recommended mitigations in requested schedule reviews
  • Experience using Microsoft Project to develop high level schedules and graphics utilizing MS Project to deliver to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate client-facing meetings to review the IMS and discuss potential schedule slips and mitigation plans
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic.
  • Ability to identify, track, and integrate risks into the IMS
  • Manages, directs and/or performs all quality assurance and quality control activities of individuals across the program to assure the highest levels of commitment to quality, including subcontractor and supplier quality, in accordance with contractual requirements and the company's values and ethics.
  • Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and stakeholder feedback to assess program performance and risks and recommends resources and actions to ensure mission success.
  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
  • Responsible for the IMS integration, installation, testing, evaluation, and documentation tracking.
  • System IMS integration of Installation processes that are executed and refined while developing step by step procedures that can pass on to customers.
  • Ensures system testing meets or exceeds system specifications.
  • Develops standards, practices, and test procedures to verify system requirements and exercise all user interfaces.
  • Verifies system documentation against the actual execution of the system and reports inconsistencies back to engineering for corrections.
  • Participates in design reviews of components to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation for schedule tracking.
  • Evaluates the performance of the system, developing special test jigs as necessary to gather pertinent performance data, working closely with System Engineers to understand where performance improvements can be developed.
  • Develops and performs overall system verification steps that are created over the life cycle to sell off the end-to-end system to the quality team and the customer.
  • Creates and executes special procedures to verify and validate enhancement and defect fixes to the system.
  • Follows and refines testing practices, policies, and procedures to best optimize the overall system verification process.

Qualifications

Requires:
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Working knowledge of industry process/quality standards ISO9001/AS9100, SEI CMMI and DoD 8570
  • Ability to facilitate face-to-face meetings and brief the highest levels of the Government Customer PMO and the Program Sponsor
  • Must have excellent communication and written skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently
  • Must be active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

Desired
  • Experience leading Gate Reviews and conducting Risk-based Process Evaluations
  • Desired ITIL certification
  • PMP certification

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
