Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Design Engineer to assist with developing technical strategies and architectures based on the Senate's Messaging and Authentication Services. This individual should possess 8-10 years of experience in designing, integrating, migrating, and supporting large systems in either the public or private sector, and must have advanced knowledge of industry, technology, applications, and services to assure overall quality of solutions.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Review and document solutions and present results according to public sector customer's management
  • Provide expertise on IT issues relating to the integration between on-premises infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Develop and recommend solutions and strategies for technical solutions
  • Support customer system-wide technical needs analysis
  • Research, analyze and evaluate existing systems infrastructure and the process for migrating to the new standards
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer on an individual and organizational basis
  • Resolve problems that are tactical in nature and support the public sector customer throughout the solution
  • Identifying future technology skills needed by the organization as a result of system changes

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, a Masters Degree and 6 years, or a High School diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in designing, integrating, migrating, and supporting large systems in either the public or private sector
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have an active Public Trust clearance
  • Advanced level expertise in Microsoft Windows and Exchange design, migration, and deployment
  • Must have advanced knowledge of industry, technology, applications, and services to assure overall quality of solutions
  • Extensive experience in delivering complex solutions in the Microsoft environment
  • Strong technical writing skills for developing design and procedural documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting ADFS, Office 365, and Teams
  • Dedication to providing value to customers
  • The ability to deliver a task regardless of hurdles encountered
  • Have self-motivation/ be a self-starter
  • Great communication and organization skills

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
