Job Description
We have an opening for a Training Coordinator to help drive the Superblock training program using current training technology to coordinate the operational aspects of course analysis, design, development, implementation, and revision. You will work within regulatory requirements and operational needs, drawing on your experience with learning management systems, the course development and review lifecycle, and conducting high level analyses of training needs and program impact. This position's primary mission will be in support of operations and programmatic work in the Superblock other Strategic Deterrence (SD) training as needed. Course creation, facilitation, and occasional travel are required. This position is in the Superblock, within the Strategic Deterrence Organization.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

In this role you will
- Utilize existing training needs analyses to review and evaluate training program materials and curriculum to ensure DOE and LLNL compliance.
- Develop course content under direction using a variety of medias including e-learning, classroom instructor, OJT, and job aides.
- Assist in training needs assessment process for interventions, identify and interview subject matter experts, and prepare reports findings.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate instructor-led training using a variety of medias and tools.
- Proctor written exams, oral boards, and walk and talks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience applying training and development practices and techniques, standards, processes, and systems.
- Assign and tracks the training requirements and completions for vendor, sub-contractor, and other external groups.
- Advise and provide information to employees regarding new role assignments, course completions, deadlines, schedules, and new learning requirements.
- Compile and organize all paperwork, including equivalencies, exemptions, extensions, and exceptions, pulls compliance and audit reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional job responsibilities, at the H04.2 level
- Assist in all operational aspects of the learning and training programs.
- Creates course content for internally developed training and conducts programmatic analyses independently using established training templates.
- Leads the course review assignment, cadence, and frequency for the entire training program.
Qualifications
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Organization Development, Training and Development, Instructional Design Technologies, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Basic knowledge and experience coordinating training programs, driving efficiency through systems, and participating in the processes of conducting training analysis and developing courses.
- Fundamental knowledge of and experience in principles of Instructional Design and ADDIE methodologies and techniques.
- Experience using various computer software applications and multimedia tools for training and development with an emphasis on online training.
- Demonstrated ability to provide prompt and professional customer service.
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making and program coordination skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and to present and communicate information.
- Ability to interact with others and to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional qualifications at the H04.2 level
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience applying training and development practices and techniques, standards, processes, and systems.
- Limited project management experience in the learning and development field.
- Limited experience serving as technical lead on training projects.
