Responsibilities

As a signals software engineer, you know how to create and maintain critical software supporting complex signal processing systems. You use your expertise to design and optimize code that enables software, hardware, and RF processing components to operate together effectively. We're looking for an experienced signals software engineer like you to help develop advanced technology solutions addressing our clients' most mission-critical challenges.

As a signals software engineer at EverWatch , you'll support the development of signal processing systems, operational tools, and mission platforms. Using modern engineering tools and techniques, you'll design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting RF collection, processing, and analysis capabilities. You'll expand your skills as you develop and enhance software that supports signal detection, demodulation, and protocol processing across a range of operational environments. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot operational issues and work alongside cybersecurity specialists to ensure secure, resilient software solutions.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience developing and maintaining software for RF signal processing systems and related mission applications
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing signal processing software such as detectors, demodulators, and protocol processors
  • Experience designing and implementing complex signal processing algorithms, including Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, and error control coding
  • Experience using digital signal processing techniques such as adaptive beamforming, filtering, demodulation, and signal analysis tools
  • Experience integrating software into new or modified systems and operating environments
  • Experience debugging software defects, resolving problem reports, and performing software quality control
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and software design principles appropriate to large-scale engineering environments
  • Knowledge of RF collection and processing systems including interactions between hardware, software, and databases
  • Ability to lead one or more software development teams and ensure work completion in accordance with established development processes
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS Diploma and 16+ years of experience in software engineering or Bachelor's d egree in Computer Science or Engineering and 12+ years in software engineering


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with software defined radio architectures such as SCA, REDHAWK, or GNU Radio
  • Experience supporting commercial wireless communication standards or geolocation techniques
  • Experience using software configuration management tools such as Git, ClearQuest, Trac, or Subversion
  • Experience developing software using Python and C++ in Linux environments
  • Experience using development tools such as Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffers, MATLAB, or Simulink
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture principles and distributed processing frameworks
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems and development environments


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance is required .

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $98.56 to $113.00 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch's total compensation package for employees.
