Position Summary
We are seeking a Principal or Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.4 and HashiCorp Vault to support a financial services client. This fully remote engagement (estimated 500 hours with potential for extension) will focus on designing and delivering a secure authentication pattern that enables AAP servers to authenticate using HashiCorp Vault in place of the client's existing solution. You may also provide guidance and hands-on support for a potential migration from AAP 2.4 to AAP 2.6. This role requires strong architecture experience, hands-on delivery capability, and the ability to operate effectively within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of a secure authentication pattern integrating AAP with HashiCorp Vault
- Implement and configure authentication workflows between AAP and Vault
- Provide hands-on delivery and technical leadership throughout the engagement
- Assess the client's current AAP 2.4 environment and provide recommendations for optimization
- Support or lead migration efforts from AAP 2.4 to AAP 2.6, as needed
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation runbooks
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, security teams, and platform engineers
- Ensure alignment with financial services security, compliance, and governance standards
- Provide knowledge transfer and best practices to internal client teams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and DevOps engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.4
- Experience integrating AAP with HashiCorp Vault for authentication and secrets management
- Proven experience designing and delivering secure automation patterns in enterprise environments
- Experience supporting regulated environments (financial services preferred)
- Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms, RBAC, and secure secret handling
- Experience with AAP upgrades/migrations (2.4 to 2.6 preferred)
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Financial Services (FSI) environments
- Red Hat and/or HashiCorp certifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Prior consulting or advisory experience at a Principal or Senior Consultant level
