Senior SQL Developer (Part-Time Contract)
Position Overview
LaunchCode is seeking multiple experienced Appian professionals to support mission-critical initiatives within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing and delivering secure, enterprise-scale workflow and automation solutions that support complex operational environments.
Successful candidates will be self-driven technologists capable of operating independently within highly secure environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, resilient solutions aligned with mission objectives. This is a fully onsite role in Northern Virginia supporting high-impact programs requiring strong technical execution and attention to security.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain secure applications using the Appian low-code platform.
• Architect scalable workflows and business process automation solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Configure and customize Appian components including process models, interfaces, integrations, and data structures.
• Integrate Appian applications with enterprise services and systems such as:
◦ Active Directory and identity management solutions
◦ Classification and records management systems
◦ Security, monitoring, and logging frameworks
• Ensure compliance with security policies, governance standards, and accreditation requirements within classified environments.
• Support full application lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with mission stakeholders, enterprise architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Document system designs, processes, and operational procedures as required.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications within the Appian platform.
• Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable workflow automation solutions.
• Experience integrating Appian with enterprise systems and APIs.
• Solid understanding of secure development practices within classified or regulated environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-trust environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Appian certifications (Associate Developer, Senior Developer, Lead Developer, or Architect).
• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or federal mission environments.
• Background in enterprise consulting or system integration environments (e.g., Deloitte, Accenture, Booz Allen, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks within secure environments.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and enterprise-scale application deployments.
