Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator - Global Operations Shift Lead (26-065 & 26-066 & 26-067) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations globally and regionally to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.
The Global Shift Lead reports to the Global Operations Lead and is responsible for all C2BMC-Global (C2BMC-G) operations, such as health monitoring and status updates.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Essential Functions:
Operational Oversight
- Direct day-to-day C2BMC-G activities to guarantee the availability, quality, and security of services crucial for mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharing
- Coordinate with the C2BMC Regional CWO and the C2BMC Command Center (CCC) Lead
Reporting & Decision Support
- Ensure reports are accurate, keep leadership updated, suggest suitable actions, and monitor the real-time status of all systems
Integrity & Training
- Maintain operational integrity by ensuring crew members are properly trained, certified, and capable of carrying out their assigned missions. Oversee shift staffing, conduct comprehensive changeover briefings, and confirm sufficient manning levels
Shift Requirements
- Work a rotating 12-hour schedule that may include nights, weekends, and off-shift substitutions; full 24/7 coverage is anticipated, depending on mission requirements

Basic Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Project Management, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be read in at SCI clearance
- Experienced in Project Management, Planning, and Resource Management
- Experience leading personnel in the operations and/or maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking
- Experience or knowledge of enterprise network, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and management
- Effective communication and the ability to brief technical system and network issues and overall system reports to program management and customer leadership using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
- Sound knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate, and manage services under C2BMC operational control
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
- Experienced in Agile methodologies and JIRA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience liaising with other Department of War (DoW) Agencies and associated Missile Defense Systems operations/organizations
- Experience working with the U.S. Space Force, USSTRATCOM, SPACECOM, or in the space domain
