The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Operations organization. The successful candidate should plan to work full time during the Fall semester (August - December 2026).

- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
- Support manufacturing of composite structures
- Resolve production issues in processes by working closely with manufacturing personnel
- Support root cause and corrective action
- Author, modify, and audit procedures
- Be part of an Integrated Product Team
Basic Qualifications for a Co-op, Tooling Engineer
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be able to work onsite full time during the Fall semester (August 2026 to December 2026)
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
- Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Co-op Pay Range:
- Bachelor's: $17.00 to $31.25
- Master's: $24.50 to $38.50
