Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Security Manager 2 to serve as NG Huntsville Campus Facility Security Officer (FSO). This is an opportunity to apply proven security leadership skills in a dynamic and challenging program environment.

This is an immediate fill position based in Huntsville, AL.

A Northrop Grumman Security Manger 2 (FSO) requires managing compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) 32 CFR Part 117, conducting self-inspections, handling personnel clearances (DISS), and overseeing physical security for classified areas. The role involves acting as the primary liaison with DCSA, managing security education, and safeguarding classified information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance & Security Management: Implement, monitor, and maintain security programs for classified, proprietary, or SAP/SCI materials
  • Personnel Security (PERSEC): Manage security clearance processing, indoctrinations, debriefings, and visitor control
  • Physical Security: Oversee alarm systems, intrusion detection, access control (badges, keys), and lock/key management
  • Investigations & Audits: Conduct self-inspections, investigate security violations, and prepare for DCSA assessments
  • Reporting & Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between Northrop Grumman and government customers (DCSA) regarding security policies
  • Be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast and dynamic environment
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, executive leadership and external agencies to deliver innovative and leading-edge security solutions


Required Qualifications:
  • Must have 8 years of security experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years of security experience with a Masters; 12 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Must have an active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with an investigation date current within the last 6 years or enrolled in the DoD Continuous Vetting Program with the ability to obtain special access (SAP/SCI)
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, and government security databases (DISS, NISS, SIMS)

  • Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines


Primary Level Salary Range: $127,100.00 - $190,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
