The Northrop Grumman Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is currently seeking a Director, Program Development & Multi-Domain Solutions to support the development and execution of the company's growth strategy. This position will be responsible for working across the Northrop Grumman enterprise and with our operational and science and technology customers across the Department of War and Intelligence Community (e.g. Combatant Commands, DARPA, AFRL, IARPA, ONR, DIU, etc.) and key advisory organizations (FFRDCs, UARCs, etc.) to define mission architectures, integrate Northrop Grumman capabilities into those architectures, and drive the development of new solutions for our operational users and new program and business opportunities for the Corporation.
This position requires extensive collaboration across a diverse group of Corporate, Sector, business unit, and external subject matter experts and stakeholders. The individual selected for this role will rely on outstanding personal credibility, built upon strong technical and/or operational expertise, deep understanding of program development and execution, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, to build and sustain trusted relationships with customer leaders and their technical staff. As specific opportunities emerge, the successful candidate will rally the appropriate support across Northrop Grumman to create innovative, differentiated offerings in response to customer solicitations.
The position requires an entrepreneurial, technically-savvy, strategic and business-oriented thinker with experience assessing customer missions, threats, and gaps in a science, technology, and engineering environment.
This leadership opportunity is expected to be located at either our Falls Church, VA or Linthicum, MD facilities; alternative locations may be an option for specific candidates.

Primary Level Salary Range: $214,100.00 - $336,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Job Scope and Responsibilities:
- Engage with members of the operational and science and technology communities to understand mission gaps, challenges, and opportunities.
- Drive collaboration across NGC to define mission architectures and solutions to address those gaps, challenges, and opportunities and to identify potential differentiated Northrop Grumman solutions.
- Develop and implement customer engagement plans for senior NG leadership.
- Ensure alignment of strategic mission engineering initiatives with the corporate technology strategy and measure progress of key initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sector leadership and external partners, to align mission architecting and engineering and OA / MS&A efforts that support product development and market expansion.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or a Master's degree with 10 years of experience, in a related STEM discipline, including demonstrated prior experience in program development, mission architecting, systems engineering, operational analysis, and MS&A.
- If prior military, Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's degree with 10 years of experience in military or intelligence community operational experience, with tours including strategy/operational planning, CONOPS development, mission planning, operations research / analysis, and/or technology development, particularly in a Joint environment
- Broad understanding of defense and intelligence markets and arenas.
- Experience in large and complex organizations leading projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work well across all levels of management.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SAP/SAR and SCI accesses
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in STEM or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience engaging with and supporting senior leaders in the US Department of War, Office of the Secretary of War, and/or Combatant Commands, particularly to define mission architectures and CONOPS
- In-depth knowledge and experience of NG and U.S. Government products and systems, missions and operations
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic technology development and integration initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to manage communications with stakeholders - including senior executive leaders - through organized processes to ensure that critical information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets stakeholder needs
- Proven collaborator, with demonstrated ability to work across multiple disciple areas
- Experience with multiple Northrop Grumman business areas, setting a driving strategy via initiatives, AOP, and LRSP
