SRG is seeking a Tajiki linguist and Cultural & Language Advisor (CULAD) to support mission teams focused on the information environment. This role combines advanced Tajiki language capability with cultural context and media monitoring analysis to support operational requirements, reporting, and mission products.

OCONUS, Jordan (Camp Xiphos)

Key Responsibilities
Provide Tajiki translation, interpretation, transcription, and quality control across written, audio, and digital media.
Conduct foreign media monitoring and produce clear, concise outputs such as:
Daily/weekly summaries and trend reports
Narrative and sentiment observations
Key influencer and topic tracking
Situational and geopolitical media assessments
Provide cultural advisement to improve accuracy of interpretation, intent, nuance, and audience relevance.
Support mission activities tied to MISO, IO, IW, and Information Related Capabilities (IRCs) by enabling culturally accurate understanding and reporting.
Maintain product traceability and documentation in mission workflows and tools, following program security and handling requirements.
Participate in briefings, working groups, and team coordination sessions as a language and cultural subject matter expert.


Required Qualifications
Native heritage or near-native Tajiki capability with demonstrated ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to 4/4/4 in English and Tajiki (DLPT/OPI/ILR documentation preferred; testing may be required).
Minimum 5 years of media monitoring and analysis experience (foreign media, social media, geopolitics, trends, political narratives).
Experience supporting U.S. government or military environments tied to MISO, IO, IW, or IRCs.
Minimum 5 years living and/or working in a CCMD AOR relevant to the mission.
Ability to perform in a deployed environment, including unaccompanied living, shift work, and high operational tempo.
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce structured, timely reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior deployed experience supporting information environment activities, audience research, or narrative analysis.
Familiarity with target audience analysis and youth demographic trends (including digital culture and social media behaviors).
Additional language capability (bonus): Russian, Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Uzbek.
Prior experience briefing findings to operational teams or producing recurring intelligence-style reporting.
