Nexagen Networks is proud to announce the expansion of our cleared operations footprint with the opening of a new office location in Frederick . As we continue supporting the United States Army and Joint missions across the Fort Detrick / Fort Meade corridor, we are growing our team of cleared professionals across engineering, cybersecurity, program management, logistics, and mission support disciplines.
Our Frederick location will serve as a collaborative hub supporting programs operating in the Fort Detrick and Hanover / Fort Meade region, offering proximity to customer sites while providing flexibility for our cleared workforce.
As a System Administrator, you will support mission-critical systems by maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of IT infrastructure in secure environments. You will work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure systems remain compliant, secure, and highly available.

As a System Administrator, you will support mission-critical systems by maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of IT infrastructure in secure environments. You will work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure systems remain compliant, secure, and highly available.
Position Responsibilities
- Serve as the System Administrator for a closed, restricted network and support other DoD guest systems at various classification levels
- Perform systems planning, management, analysis, integration, and installation of highly complex hardware, software (applications and operating systems), and networks
- Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations on Windows, Linux, and network-based technologies
- Update and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Amazon CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
- Troubleshoot complex server, network, and software configurations
- Remotely assist off-site locations with software updates, ensure network connectivity and backups, and monitor secure VTC sessions
- Support staff in troubleshooting systems access, unlocking accounts, managing group policies, and conducting market research for Information Assurance equipment
Qualifications
Minimum of six years of experience with systems administration and desktop support
Certification Requirement
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification as specified in DoD 8570-01-M (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
