Nexagen Networks continues expanding its cleared operations footprint while supporting United States Army and Joint missions across the Fort Meade and Hanover corridor. We are growing our team of cleared professionals across software engineering, cybersecurity, program management, logistics, and mission support disciplines.
As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in secure DoD environments. You will work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure systems remain compliant, secure, and highly effective in supporting mission requirements.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in secure DoD environments. You will work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to ensure systems remain compliant, secure, and highly effective in supporting mission requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and install high-quality software solutions in compliance with DoD coding standards and technical designs
- Modify and implement software programming applications and provide support/installation for operating systems
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and software certification
- Execute systems engineering technical/management processes and translate operational requirements into system specifications
- Decompose end-user needs into system elements and document requirements in approved repositories such as JIRA
- Perform technical/mission analyses, trade-off assessments, and perform system modeling and decision analyses
- Produce or review technical products, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), technical evaluations, and engineering studies
- Support project meetings and milestone reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
- Analyze software deficiencies to develop, integrate, and test solutions, and evaluate vendor Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
Qualifications
- MS from an accredited college or university; degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Programming preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software engineer within the DoD environment
