Job Description

We're Growing in Maryland!

Nexagen Networks continues expanding its cleared operations footprint while supporting the United States Army and Joint missions across the Fort Meade and Hanover corridor. We are growing our team of cleared professionals across acquisition, program management, software engineering, logistics, and mission support disciplines.

As an Acquisition Specialist, you will provide expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring DoD acquisition programs. You will work closely with program managers, contracting officers, and leadership to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and performance across assigned programs.
Position Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice for program and budget scheduling and planning, including recommendations for program objectives, operating schedules, and resource requirements.

• Deliver budgetary expertise for cost-cutting issues, asset marketability, program development, monetary fund management, and equity monitoring.

• Prepare documentation for Milestone Decisions and reviews, assisting Program and Product Teams in developing obligation plans and risk management documentation.

• Coordinate quarterly Program Management Reviews (PMR), including briefing template development, meeting coordination, and preparation of briefing books and Program Objective Memoranda.

• Support Assistant Product Managers (APMs) in developing program documentation, creating schedules, and tracking program status to ensure execution within cost, schedule, and performance baselines.

• Develop and integrate acquisition plans and program schedules into the overall acquisition process.

• Advise on the interpretation and tailoring of applicable acquisition regulations and memorandums to ensure compliant program execution.
Qualifications

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university. DAWIA Level II or a Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) certification in any focus area preferred.

• Minimum of eight years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD acquisition management, program management, and/or contract management.

• Proficiency in preparing acquisition documents for Government approval and providing acquisition support on all functions of program management.

• Skilled in evaluating operational and technical alternatives and advising on the tailoring of acquisition regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to track program status and provide expertise on factors influencing cost, schedule, and risk.
