Duties
Help
  • You will use software applications to measure and assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • You will provide support for Training Support Programs and Testing Programs.
  • You will brief management to provide a current status on resources and training programs.
  • You will review, develop, revise, and change curriculum products.
  • You will resolve potential training problems by identifying issues and proposing solutions or developing approaches to solve the problem.
  • You will develop and publish course or schedule publications or notifications for training programs.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

GS 09 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing knowledge of conventional and established training methods, techniques and tools in order to design and develop training courses and materials, evaluate training programs, and/or complete special projects; (2) Applying knowledge of Department of Defense, Navy and Navy Education and Training as they relate to curriculum, training support and evaluation programs; and (3) Using Authoring Instructional Materials, Content Planning Module/Learning Object Module authoring tools and other curriculum authoring tools software and of Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARs) program. GS 07 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Providing curriculum quality assurance and audit management support in the evaluation of training programs, document filing, database maintenance, and completion of special projects. (2) Following established guidelines to assist with development of curriculum support documents such as Training Project Plans, Training Course Control Documents, Lesson Plan, Trainee Guide and Instructional Media Materials and Testing Plans. (3) Using Authoring Instructional Materials, Content Planning Module/Learning Object Module authoring tools software and training support databases such as Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARs) program. Education

FOR GS 09
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled

FOR GS 07

Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education
OR
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

NOTE: One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
