Work Arrangement

This is a part time position at our Solana Beach Office as part of our Internship Program.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, part-time IT Intern who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a structured, enterprise IT environment while learning foundational IT operations processes. The IT Intern will support the team by following established procedures for device sanitization, asset tracking updates, documentation, and preparation of equipment for disposal or reassignment. In addition, the intern will gain hands-on experience assisting with workstation deployment activities, learning how to image and configure devices in a corporate environment. This includes supporting operating system deployment, baseline software installation, device enrollment, and performing quality checks prior to distribution to end users under the guidance of senior IT staff.

The AEVEX Internship Program gives individuals who are early in their career the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities while discussing goals, evaluating performance and receiving regular feedback.

Essential Functions
  • Execute documented hardware decommissioning procedures, including secure data handling and asset record updates
  • Assist with workstation imaging and configuration processes
  • Prepare new and reissued equipment for deployment
  • Maintain accurate documentation within ticketing and asset management systems
  • Support IT team members with basic operational tasks as needed
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and organizational standards

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
  • Interest in pursuing a career in IT or cybersecurity
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable handling technical equipment

Education / Certifications
  • High School Diploma

Experience
  • No prior experience required.

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.

Salary Range

$20 - $25 USD
