General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Administrator with space program experience to join our Space team in Englewood, Colorado. This group develops and operates advanced satellites and payloads, from compact cubesats to large, interconnected constellations, supporting missions from Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to cislunar space. In this role, you will support project operations by tracking milestones, maintaining schedules, managing documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance innovative satellite programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects, typically as part of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); participates in project plan development, design and schedule.
  • Supports the Program Management Office (PMO) by managing program data and information, serving as a liaison between supply chain procurement and program staff, and ensuring timely delivery of contract agreements to keep programs on schedule.
  • Integrates and analyzes project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensures that all the key parties are advised.
  • Analyzes data and situations and develops solutions with project managers, line managers, engineering, production, and clients; influences and guides on actions to be taken.
  • Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
  • Represents the organization as prime contact with outside organizations; may make internal and external presentations as required.
  • Provides direction to support less experienced professional staff.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Complete understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts, and techniques, especially in engineering or high-technology environments.
  • Experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or deadlines, including managing dependencies and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and apply them in an evolving environment, contributing to process development.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills for accurate documentation, reporting, and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other professionals, and proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, SAP, or equivalent software.
  • Ability to plan and adjust tasks with changing dependencies, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and mitigate risks to keep projects aligned.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; must be able to work extended hours and travel as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with space programs, satellite missions, or other space mission environments (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Windchill.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience with Power BI and Access databases.
