Nightwing is seeking an IT Project Manager/Scrum Master to support applications development and operations and maintenance of a variety of systems and initiatives. The candidate will manage a development team instituting sound Agile methodologies to deliver technical capabilities for the Program customer. The candidate shall possess strong analytical and project management skills, how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements and collaboratively lead a team through agile sprints to successfully develop/test/integrate and deploy innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Work in coordination with Program Manager and PMO leadership to successfully deliver technical capabilities for the Program customer.
• Assess, document and track new requirements, manage sprint backlog and facilitate/schedule follow-on technical exchange meetings with customers (as needed).
• Analyze business needs, developing technical roadmaps, and collaborating with development teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and security throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and successfully manage translation into technical solutions.
• Plan and coordinate program management process activities such as Program Reviews and Control Gate Reviews including scheduling of meetings and preparation of briefings/presentations.
• Manage small technical teams (10-15 individuals); including subcontractors.
• Undertake a coaching role and help implement Agile methodologies within Project Teams.
Mandatory Skills:
• Effective PM skills and provides end-to-end software lifecycle support.
• Possess strong understanding of project management process and/or project management framework.
• Strong working knowledge of Project Management software tools and have the ability to build work breakdown structures, project schedules, risk registers and other programmatic artifacts.
• Demonstrated experience of agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban processes, and principles (facilitating daily scrum sessions as the Scrum Master; facilitating sprint planning; driving the team to meet their incremental deliveries).
• Excellent analytic and communication skills to help build and document processes, policies, and job aids.
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a willingness to assist and support the team with evolving requirements and objectives.
