Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This post requires a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements and an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Perform armed access control duties including checking identification, verifying authorization, managing visitor entry, and monitoring vehicle and personnel traffic to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and warehouse areas, and the perimeter, using observation and security-related patrol techniques to help to deter suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff documentation, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy issues through the proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
