Database Administrator V

Support design, optimization, and administration of enterprise database environments. This is a part-time role, starting ~300 hours across the first three months, then 25 hours/month afterwards).

Responsibilities

• Manage database performance
• Implement high-availability configurations
• Tune SQL queries
• Perform migrations between Postgres and Db2
• Ensure reliability, security, and data integrity across platforms
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot complex issues, improve database efficiency, and support ongoing modernization or integration efforts

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain an MBI Clearance
• 10 years of experience with Postgres and DB2
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills

• Experience working in a federal IT environment
