OSINT Training Specialist

The Opportunity

The OSINT Training Specialist develops, updates, and delivers Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) training curriculum for Diplomatic Security Service personnel. They will build comprehensive OSINT training programs and provide instruction to enhance the investigative and analytical capabilities of DS staff. This is a part-time position, and hours will vary based on business needs. No minimum number of hours is guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

• Design and develop comprehensive OSINT training modules covering fundamental to advanced techniques
• Create instructional materials including presentations, exercises, case studies
• Create/Update existing OSINT curriculum to reflect evolving technologies, platforms, and methodologies
• Develop practical, scenario-based training exercises relevant to DS mission requirements
• Ensure training materials align with legal and ethical guidelines for OSINT collection
• Conduct OSINT training sessions for DS personnel at various skill levels
• Deliver both in-person and virtual training as required
• Provide hands-on instruction in OSINT tools, techniques, and best practices
• Facilitate practical exercises and provide individualized feedback to participants
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and experience levels
• Assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Stay current on OSINT trends, tools, and methodologies
• Coordinate with DS training staff on scheduling and logistics
• Maintain training records and participant assessments as required
