MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Field Support Technician to join our team in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides onsite and remote technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of technology in the field
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, install and configure equipment, and provide technical assistance
- Travel to client locations to perform maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining technical concepts clearly, and maintain detailed records of work completed
- Contribute to the development of knowledgebase articles and training materials
- Escalate complex issues to senior Technicians and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Field Support Technician receives guidance and direction from more senior staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or a minimum of 3 years of relevant Field Support Technician experience.
- A candidate holding a relevant Bachelor's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education.
- Two years of position-specific relevant experience. Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, mobile devices). Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems. Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi). Experience with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, antivirus software). Experience with Active Directory and remote desktop tools. Demonstrated experience in providing onsite technical support to end users. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong customer service skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions, scripting (e.g., PowerShell), cloud-based services (e.g., Microsoft 365), and with ticketing systems. CompTIA A+ certification.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret Eligible clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
