MANTECH seeks a motivated, customer-oriented Acquisition Program Strategist to join our team in the El Segundo, CA area. The Acquisition Program Strategist will play a critical role in supporting Government acquisition strategy, contract business operations, and technical analysis efforts that directly enable mission success. In this role, you will help guide acquisition planning, support competitive and sole source procurements, and ensure high-quality contract documentation across complex defense programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
You will contribute across the full acquisition lifecycle, ensuring documentation accuracy, strategic alignment, and effective contract execution support.
- Develop, technically assess, and update program and project deliverables and documentation, including contract deliverables
- Create draft Government acquisition strategies, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and supporting documentation for Government review as required
- Assist in all aspects of Government acquisition processes, contract business support, and contract analysis
- Document, update, and provide recommendations for contract document submittals, including technical evaluations of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) in proposals
- Support development of acquisition strategy plans, documents, and briefings, including sole source Justification & Approval (J&A) memoranda, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and draft Performance Work Statements (PWS)
- Prepare and review Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) summaries, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), incentive plans, financing plans, proposal instructions, and evaluation criteria
- Provide analyses and recommendations for program reporting, development of program and project briefings, documentation configuration and control, action tracking, and coordination of documentation review processes
- Integrate program and project tasks and provide technical assessment, evaluation, and recommendations for post-RFP release activities, including sole source fact finding, proposal technical evaluations, negotiations, and competitive source selection support
Minimum Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation and demonstrated experience supporting defense acquisition programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a STEM field
- 8+ years of experience as a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer in relevant fields
- 2+ years of experience supporting National Security Space Launch (NSSL), Launch/Range, DoD, NASA, or related industry programs
- Experience working with Information Technology (IT) systems and SharePoint-type databases
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications will further distinguish you as a strong candidate:
- Advanced degree in a related technical or business discipline
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Background in Government weapon systems acquisitions and/or Government contracting strongly desired
Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the ability to support classified programs and related activities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
This role operates in a professional office environment and requires routine use of standard office equipment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
