Praescient Analytics is seeking a Survey Methodologist to lead the design and implementation of advanced survey methodologies and statistical sampling strategies. You will ensure the collection of high-quality, nationally representative data that meets stringent federal standards and provides actionable insights for critical decision-making regarding consumer product safety. This role specifically supports the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) program by maintaining a representative sample of hospitals providing product-related injury data.

- Sampling Design & Compliance: Develop and implement OMB-compliant sampling frames and strategies for nationally representative surveys to ensure robust coverage and unbiased estimates.
- Power & Precision Analysis: Conduct rigorous power and precision analyses to determine optimal sample sizes for accurate national estimates and detailed subgroup comparisons.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Design and deploy interactive dashboards and monitoring tools to track sample performance, response rates, and data quality in real-time.
- Quality Assurance: Proactively identify and implement continuous improvements to data collection processes to ensure integrity and reliability.
- Technical Communication: Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise: Proven expertise in survey methodology, statistical sampling, and deep familiarity with federal standards (OMB).
- Analytical Skills: Hands-on experience with advanced statistical techniques, including power analysis and precision calculations.
- Tools: Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) for monitoring and reporting on sample performance.
- Communication: Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Survey Methodology, Data Science, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).+1
- Experience: Previous experience with large-scale national surveys, complex sampling designs, and real-time data quality monitoring.
- Context: Familiarity with federal survey compliance frameworks and public-sector data collection best practices.
