With 3,500+ e-APP submissions and extensive experience in security system management, GPO Personnel Security requires experienced Security Analysts to assist with onboarding contractors and employees. The Security Analysts are required to review background investigations and provide knowledge to make recommendations on the outcome.

Requirement:
• Candidates must have 5–7 years of experience handling Tier 1–5 investigations.
1. Adherence to Security Requirements:
o Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of and adherence to security requirements established in legislation, regulations, and policy statements, including but not limited to E.O. 10450, E.O. 12968, and Adjudicative Guidelines for Determining Eligibility for Access to Classified Information.
2. Investigative Techniques:
o Possess a deep understanding of current investigative techniques, practices, and legal limitations.
3. Knowledge of Subversive Activities:
o Exhibit familiarity with subversive and foreign intelligence service organizations, operations, and methods of the Department of State, DCSA, and OPM.
4. Security Regulations and Policies:
o Understand and apply security regulations and policies affecting employment within the U.S. Government Publishing Office and Executive Order 12968.
5. Suitability Factors:
o Be knowledgeable about factors affecting the suitability of applicants for Federal Government employment, as outlined in 5 CFR 731 and 3 FAM 622.
6. Legal Updates:
o Stay updated on the results of court cases and other legal determinations impacting the personnel security program.
7. Analytical Skills:
o Analyze and evaluate investigative reports of a complex nature and proficiently prepare oral and written summaries of the contained information.
o Review security forms for completion and accuracy.
o Demonstrate the ability to draw sound conclusions and make recommendations solely based on factual information, producing logically organized, clear, concise, and unbiased written products.
8. Communication and Collaboration:
o Effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at various levels within the Department and other Federal agencies.
Security Analysts will also need to provide the following services:
• Administration and maintenance of personnel security systems (DISS, NBIS, eAPP, NP2 Portal, CVS/PIPs, fingerprinting).
• Security clearance process handling, including initiation, submission, and monitoring.
• Compliance reporting and security training for personnel.
• Perform adjudications for Public Trust and National Security cases.
